Presentations of the special issue of decadence of the journal Keel ja Kirjandus

Presentations of the special issue of Keel ja Kirjandus will be held in Tallinn on 21 February and in Tartu on 27 February 2024. The articles of the issue are based on presentations of the conference Decadence in Estonian culture: translation and interpretation. The issue was compiled by the project members Mirjam Hinrikus and Merlin Kirikal. In addition, two translations of the works by Nietzsche will be presented: the book The case of Wagner. Nietzsche contra Wagner (translated by project member, Jaan Undusk) and Fragments on decadence in the journal Akadeemia (translated by project member, Leo Luks). At the presentations, Hinrikus, Luks and Undusk will hold a discussion about literary decadence with Johanna Ross and Rebekka Lotman. Uku Gross with Tiiu Jürma will play modernist saxophone music.
